new beginnings

Just want to start off saying that i'm happy you're here :) While life continues to grow in ways that I'm excited to see, I wanted somewhere to write and share. So here we are!!
There are so many new beginnings when you really get down to thinking. One door closes and another one opens all of the time. Waking up is a beginning. Going to college is a beginning. Experiencing something for the first time is a beginning! I've realized that these "new beginnings" are so easy to miss sometimes. As normal human beings (that we all are), we get so caught up in a routine of overthinking what could go wrong with the uncertainty of the day. I know I do it. I dwell on the class that I am dreading going to, or worry of failure when I try something new. Welp reality check- you and me are never going to be able to predict the future. But what we can do?
1. We can try to enjoy every second in this one moment right now. Because guess what!? We are never going to get it back. In a few years from now, I know that I'm going look back on where I am right now and just want a few more seconds. To experience everything one more time. The smallest actions are taken for granted. From enjoying coffee in the morning to just simply walking around outside. I appreciate those parts of my day and often, do not appreciate how lucky we are. No matter where we are, we can find at least one good thing in the moment. And that one good thing is plentiful for us to enjoy our time.
2. We can stay optimistic. Much easier said than done - but really, going into a situation already thinking that it will be bad, will most likely end in it being that way. I fully believe that everything is what you make it. Make it good. Make it worthwhile. Being an optimist FEELS BETTER. Don't waste any energy on anything other than creating the best scenario that you possibly can. Because what's the purpose of not striving for that?
3. We can help each other out. Friends are SO important when a support system is needed. They help you find a path when life seems a little too blurry. What's amazing about reaching out to people is that others have been through experiences that we haven't. I value opinion and guidance. Getting different perspectives on a situation helps me with an unnerving, new beginning. Receiving help goes hand in hand with offering help. Do your part. Let people know that you are there for them because life is short and once again, we are never going to get this moment back.
4. We can find peace in God, knowing that everything is perfectly in place. Nothing will ever happen that isn't supposed to. While everyone begins on some kind of new journey (whether it be big or small), the Lord already knows what will happen. Everything is in HIS plan. And I think that everyone should hear this: No matter how scary the start of something may seem, YOU WILL GROW. Even better, we will all grow together. Let's trust in His plan even when we can't understand the point of it. Life is full of surprises.
That's all for now!!
Always,
Sara
